Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy (“Privacy Policy”) describes how Peregrine LLC dba Ritter (“Ritter,” “us” or “we”) collects, uses and discloses information from its users, including with respect to the website located at https://Ritterapparel.com/ (the “Website”), Ritter’s related mobile device application, and any related content, features, materials, applications, widgets and/or services (collectively, the “Services”).

BY USING THE SERVICES, YOU ACCEPT ALL OF THE PROVISIONS OF THE Ritter TERMS OF SERVICE AND THIS PRIVACY POLICY. IF YOU DO NOT ACCEPT THE Ritter TERMS OF SERVICE AND THIS PRIVACY POLICY, THEN YOU ARE NOT AUTHORIZED TO USE ANY OF Ritter’S SERVICES. 

For purposes of this Privacy Policy, “you” and “your” means you as the user of the Services. If you use the Services on behalf of a company, organization, or other entity, then “you” includes you and that entity. 

SECTION 1 – TYPES OF INFORMATION WE COLLECT 

We may collect the following categories of information:

Privacy choices you make on the third party site or platform will not apply to our use of the information we collect directly through our Services.

Unique Identifiers. We collect information through unique identifiers (such as IP address or your mobile device advertising identifier).

Cookies. We use “cookies” and other technologies to collect data that enable us to better understand and improve the usability, performance and effectiveness of our Website. Third Party Analytics. We use third parties’ analytic and tracking tools to better understand who is using the Services, how people are using the Services and how to improve the effectiveness of the Services and their content, and to help those parties serve more targeted advertising to you across the Internet or help us serve more targeted advertising to you. Those third party companies may use cookies, pixel tags or other technologies to collect and store Anonymous Information, such as time of visit, pages visited, time spent on each page of the Services, device identifiers, type of operating system used and other website(s) you may have visited. They might combine information they collect from your interaction with our Services with Personal Information they collect from other sources. We do not have access to, nor control over, third parties’ use of cookies or other tracking technologies.

Do Not Track. Do Not Track (DNT) is a privacy preference that users can set in some web browsers, allowing users to opt out of tracking by websites and online services. Ritter and the Services [do not recognize DNT]. 

SECTION 3 - HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION 

We may use your data for the following purposes:

  • To provide you with the Services and the products and services you request.
  • To administer your Ritter account.
  • To communicate with you about your account or transactions with us and send you information about features of the Services or changes to our policies.
  • To process payments.
  • To ensure consistency with local law and choices and controls that may be available to you.
  • To personalize content and experiences and advertising.
  • To detect, investigate and prevent activities that may violate our policies or be illegal.
  • To optimize or improve the content, products, services, and features of the Services.
  • To personalize and improve the Services and user experiences, to increase the functionality and user friendliness of the Services, to deliver content or features that match user profiles or interests.
  • To monitor and analyze the Services usage and trends and otherwise measure the effectiveness of the Services.

We may also send you emails about our store, new products, offers, promotions and other updates. 

SECTION 4 – HOW WE MAY SHARE YOUR INFORMATION WITH OTHER COMPANIES 

We may share your Personal Information outside of Ritter under some circumstances, including, without limitation:

You may request a notice disclosing the categories of Personal Information we have shared with third parties, and the names of those third parties. We provide you the ability to exercise certain controls and choices regarding our collection, use and sharing of your information. In accordance with local law, your controls and choices may include:

SECTION 6 – DATA SECURITY 

General. The security, integrity and confidentiality of your information are important to us. To protect your Personal Information, we take commercially reasonable precautions and follow industry standard practices to protect against unauthorized loss, misuse, access, disclosure, alteration or destruction. Please be aware though that, despite our best efforts, no security measures are perfect or impenetrable. We will retain your Personal Information for the length of time needed to fulfill the purposes outlined in the Terms of Service and this Privacy Policy unless a longer retention period is required, or for the establishment, exercise or defense of legal claims, or for legitimate businesses purposes, or as provided by law.

Secure Payments. Our store is hosted on Shopify Inc. (“Shopify”). Shopify provides us with the online e-commerce platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you. Your data is stored through Shopify’s data storage, databases and the general Shopify application. Shopify stores your data on a secure server behind a firewall. If you choose a direct payment gateway to complete your purchase, then Shopify stores your credit card data. It is encrypted through the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). Your purchase transaction data is stored only as long as is necessary to complete your purchase transaction. After that is complete, your purchase transaction information is deleted. All direct payment gateways adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service providers. By using the Services, you freely and specifically give Ritter your consent to export your Personal Information outside of the EEA, including to the US and understand that data stored outside of the EEA may be subject to lawful requests by the courts or law enforcement authorities in the countries in which it is stored.

Access Requests. You have the right to request a copy of the Personal Information we hold about you. Ritter will take commercially reasonable steps to provide you with such access and to correct, amend, or delete information that is demonstrated to be inaccurate or incomplete. 

SECTION 8 - THIRD-PARTY SERVICES 

General. The third-party providers used by us will only collect, use and disclose your information to the extent necessary to allow them to perform the services they provide to us. However, certain third-party service providers, such as payment gateways and other payment transaction processors, have their own privacy policies in respect to the information we are required to provide to them for your purchase-related transactions. For these providers, we recommend that you read their privacy policies so you can understand the manner in which your Personal Information will be handled by these providers. In particular, remember that certain providers may be located in or have facilities that are located a different jurisdiction than either you or us. So if you elect to proceed with a transaction that involves the services of a third-party service provider, then your information may become subject to the laws of the jurisdiction(s) in which that service provider or its facilities are located. As an example, if you are located in Canada and your transaction is processed by a payment gateway located in the United States, then your Personal Information used in completing that transaction may be subject to disclosure under United States legislation, including the Patriot Act. Once you leave our Website or are redirected to a third-party website or application, you are no longer governed by this Privacy Policy or our Website’s Terms of Service.

Links. Our Services may contain links to other sites operated by third parties.  When you click on links on our Services, they may direct you away from our Website. We do not control such other sites, are not responsible for the privacy practices of other sites, and encourage you to read their privacy statements. Ritter’s inclusion of such links does not, by itself, imply any endorsement of the content on such sites or of their owners or operators except as disclosed on the Services. Ritter expressly disclaims any and all liability for the actions of third parties, including, but without limitation to actions relating to the use and/or disclosure of Personal Information by third parties. Any information submitted by you directly to these third parties is subject to these third parties’ privacy policies. 

SECTION 9 - AGE OF CONSENT AND CHILDREN’S PRIVACY 

By using this Website, you represent that you are at least the age of majority in your state or province of residence, or that you are the age of majority in your state or province of residence and you have given us your consent to allow any of your minor dependents to use this Website.

Ritter does not intentionally gather any Personal Information about individuals who are under the age of thirteen (13) or knowingly allow such persons to sign up for the Services. The Services are not directed at children under the age of thirteen (13). IF YOU ARE UNDER THIRTEEN (13) YEARS OF AGE, DO NOT USE OUR SERVICES. If Ritter becomes aware that it has collected Personal Information from someone under the age of thirteen (13), we will delete such information. If you are the parent or guardian of a person under the age of thirteen (13) who has provided us with Personal Information, you may contact us using the information below to request it be deleted. 

SECTION 10 – YOUR CALIFORNIA PRIVACY RIGHTS 

This Privacy Policy describes how we may share your information for marketing purposes. It applies to all users of the Services, including California residents. We share information with other parts of our business, our service providers, and others, as more fully set forth in Section 4.

Ritter will investigate and attempt to resolve complaints and disputes regarding use and disclosure of Personal Information in accordance with the principles contained in this Privacy Policy.  If Ritter is unable to resolve your complaint, you can escalate the issue in accordance with the dispute resolution procedure set out in our Terms of Service. 

SECTION 12 - CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY 

We reserve the right to modify this Privacy Policy at any time, so please review it frequently. Changes and clarifications will take effect immediately upon their posting on the Website. If we make material changes to this policy, we will notify you by email at the last email address you provided us, by posting notice of such changes on the Services, or by other means, consistent with applicable law.
